The Fallen are four armed aliens who are also sworn enemies of the human race. Bungie has quoted them as being “a nomadic race of once noble houses now scattered to the solar winds”. Fallen are hardy creatures who can survive in a wide range of environments without heavy armor or complex modifications to their physiology.

You and your fellow Guardians aren't the only characters in this great tale. Destiny plays host to many key NPCs who will guide you on your journey through the cosmos. Some, like Ghost, will always be at your side while others, like the Queen of the Reef, will give you missions once you find her.

There are four Damage Types so far that we know: Kinetic (white damage), this is what an ordinary weapon with no elemental properties deals, Solar (red damage) equivalent to fire damage, Arc (blue damage), comparable to lightning damage, and Void (purple damage) dark or gravity damage.

The arsenal of weapons available in Destiny is very extensive. It consists of various types of pistols, shotguns, and rifles (assault, sniper, pulse, etc.). All weapons available in the game are described with several basic statistics, such as Impact, Range, Stability, and Reload.

In Destiny loot does not come in such large quantities as e.g. in Borderlands or Diablo series, but this does not mean of course that you should not look for it. First and foremost, new items can be obtained by killing enemies, as some of them drop more or less valuable items.
