Destiny: Xur's January 23 Weekends And Exotic Goods Location
According to Bungie, Destiny players purchased more than one million Ice Breakers when Xûr, Agent of the Nine, had the sniper rifle on sale last week. The mysterious vendor returned Friday, and PlayStation and Xbox players may find this weekend’s collection of Exotic weapons and items disappointing in comparison, unless you are a Hunter dancing machine.
Those looking for Xûr should run straight ahead towards the Vanguard hall, after spawning in the Tower. He is located to the right of the table that the three Vanguards are standing at, against the wall. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map, just to be sure.
Destiny Xur Location - Vanguard Hall
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, January 25. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
For those who missed No Land Beyond the first time it was on sale, here’s your second chance. The novelty sniper rifle-lite in the primary slot has shown to be solid in PVP for those who can pull off headshots consistently, but its use in PVE is still questionable. Boots are the order of the day for Titans and Hunters, however, while Warlocks get a chest piece. The good news is that Xûr is selling an Exotic helmet engram this week, perfect for those loaded with Motes of Light.
Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.
For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
Destiny - No Land Beyond (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)
No Land Beyond is one of the extremely rare special Exotic weapons that can fit in the primary weapon slot. It is, in fact, the only Sniper Rifle that can be used as a primary weapon. However, its performance may leave you preferring to use a Scout Rifle with a high impact rating instead. The precision damage multiplier on NLB is only 3.5x versus the 5.0x of other Sniper Rifles. It also requires a reload after each shot that takes approximately two and a half seconds. If you’re a headshot master in PVP, NLB may be worth your coins.
Destiny Mk. 44 Stand Asides Titan Boots (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)
The Mk. 44 Stand Asides boots are for Titans in the Striker sub-class who love using the Shoulder Charge. The “Be Somewhere Else” perk extends the time that the Shoulder Charge is available by a couple of seconds. It also allows the character to carry more Heavy Weapon ammo. If you’ve ever played a Titan in Crucible, you know that those couple of seconds of extended run time with the Shoulder Charge can be deadly.
Destiny Radiant Dance Machines Hunter Boots (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)
Radiant Dance Machines are a pair of groovy looking Hunter boots and the only Exotic pair currently available. They can be worn by either sub-classes and allow Hunters to move quicker while aiming thanks to “The Dance” perk. This is most useful in PVP, where strafing and quick movements can mean the difference between killing or being killed. The stat roll of 147 strength is actually pretty good though.
Destiny Starfire Protocol Warlock Chest (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)
The Starfire Protocol chest armor for Warlocks is meant for the Sunsinger sub-class thanks to the “Starfire Protocol” perk. It allows for an additional Fusion grenade. However, this does not stack with the “Gift of the Sun” perk, so you can still only max out at two. What it does allow is for you to select either the “Angel of Light” or “Touch of Flame” perks instead. It also allows you to carry extra Fusion Rifle and Heavy Weapon ammo.
