Destiny PVP Tips for Crucible

The Crucible is where competitive PvP (Player versus Player) takes place. It is a rough place, so we got the Bungie crew to give us a few helpful tips for people jumping into it for the first time.A competitive mode where there are three points that your team must hold to gain points. The first team to reach the set value wins the round. Generally a 6 vs 6 game type.

POINTS APLENTY
1)Control is a combination of Team Deathmatch and Domination, and the winner is based solely on who scores the most points. First to 20,000 or whomever has the most points at time wins.
2)There are MANY ways to score points besides capturing control points. Every action players do above the standard kill will give them more points. Getting kills with a headshot, melee, grenade, Super, Heavy weapons, or vehicle will all add additional points on top of each kill.

KEEP MOVING
1)Stay mobile. You're harder to hit while moving, and each map has many different paths to each capture point.
2)Pay attention to your Tracker - enemies always show up on it, so it has nothing to do with movement. If they are crouched, however, they will ping less frequently, but still show up. When the center piece starts flashing that means an enemy is within 6 meters, and we call that the panic zone.

LEVEL UP
1)You can level up in the Crucible! If you're a fan of FPS games and have little interest in doing quests, (A) you should probably try a different game; but (B) use Crucible mode to reach max level quickly!
2)Players gain XP for everything - capturing points, killing players, capturing ammo crates - the list goes on and on.
3)Level advantages (bonus damage, health, etc) are disabled in Crucible matches to keep players on an even battlefield.

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
1)Alternatively to in the Story or exploration modes, players Super Abilities recharge on a timer in Crucible.
2)Use caution when using a super, however, as most of them have a warm-up animation that leaves one vulnerable - not the best idea when in the middle of a firefight.
3)Don't forget you can change your loadout mid-match! You will lose your special ammo, but swapping gear might mean the difference between victory and defeat.
4)Fans of Halo will remember the speed at which you could melee in that series. That has returned here, so utilize it often! When up close to your enemy, pummel them in the face, or follow up a shotgun blast with a smack to the jaw.
5)Successfully using a Super will generate Orbs of Light for any allied teammates in the private loot stream. Picking these up will make your Super recharge faster. This means it's possible for a fireteam to continuously chain their super abilities, though it requires both concentration and cooperation.
